Rotarian John Collier presided over our first Rotary Muster in remembrance of members who have passed away. Karina was introduced by Don and Ernestine Belt, her host family. On her Rotary trips, first to Galveston for orientation, to Palestine where she helped to make a cardboard boat, to Tulsa where she met exchange students from several states, and her final Rotary trip to Camp Allen where she did some horseback riding and went on a hayride.
She will leave for Brazil in early August and will take with her the many memories that she has from her year in Cleveland. This has been one of our literacy projects for many years.
She talked with us about the hazards of vaping. It was a special treat to have Porschia speak with us as she is a graduate of New Caney High School and a veteran.

Needless to say, we are all very proud of her! President Jim Stubbs with Dr. Over Rotarians and guests were in attendance at the recent Rotary Club of Galveston's annual Memorial Day program that honored and recognized 60 veterans who served in either the U. Army, Navy, Marines or Air Force. Also in attendance were many active duty service personnel as well as cadets from Ball High School's Jr.
Army ROTC program. Rotarian Mike Guarino, chaired the program. The Rotary Club of Galveston was one of many Rotary clubs in the district to participate in the Texas City club's event. The night included fun games of trivia and a BBQ dinner. Darden, Mr. Turner and Greg Williams, Club President.
